Just a day to the much awaited football feast - The World Cup 2014. I choose to describe the world cup as a feast because, it is a celebration of football.
It is a festival where the best in the game gather to show what they have under their sleeve. It can be compared to the arena games of the ancient days. The strong shall survive but the weak will always become the water for cleaning the blades of strong. The crowd shall always roar when their teams slay their opponents with their might sword.
The skills and flare of the greatest gladiators the game has ever seen will be showcased in the various arenas of the host country. Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and the others will be leading their teams into the arenas, the aim of slaying the opponents with their two edge cutting swords. There will always be the under dogs causing upsets, the game can never be trusted expect the unexpected.
Feast always have side attractions, the opening and closing ceremonies characterized by exhibition of culture and beauty of the game. Since the inception of the great football event, each has seen exhibitions. This year's we will be expecting no less of previous ones.
